Who can be saved?
We believe in the Bible. We believe it is without error. The Bible states that all men are sinners and will suffer their due punishment in everlasting torment unless they turn from their sin and believe in Jesus Christ. Belief in the Christ of the Bible is the only way to be saved. When we sin, we are immediately in violation of God's law and deserve eternal punishment. We owe a debt that we cannot pay. No amount of good works can save a person. No amount of money will prolong the punishment. Going to church every week does not make us a Christian. We want there to be no confusion. Salvation is only found in Christ. Again, the good news of Jesus Christ, is that he paid the debt we owe for our sin and if we believe in Him, we will be saved.
If you have questions about the Christian faith, or want to know more, please get in touch with us today. Come to our Sunday morning service, start reading the Bible. Do something to get the nagging questions in your soul answered before it's too late.
“The Church has been trying to preach morality and ethics without the Gospel as a basis; it has been preaching morality without godliness; and it simply does not work. It never has, and it never will. And the result is that the Church, having abandoned her real task, has left humanity more or less to its own devices.” D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Preaching and Preachers
Psalm 19:7-9 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.8 The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.
